IAP2A Community and Stakeholder Engagement Leaders Retreat

IAP2 Australasia Community and Stakeholder Engagement Leaders Retreat

The Engagement Leap

Wednesday 28 February – Friday 1 March 2024 | Hobart, Tasmania

As we embrace the magic of a leap year, we invite you to take a bold step forward in your engagement practices. Join us for an inspiring and transformative experience where leaders from the public and private sectors converge to explore innovative strategies, share insights, and shape the future of community and stakeholder engagement.

This unique retreat is designed for senior leaders who are committed to advancing the practice of community and stakeholder engagement. With capped attendance numbers, this retreat offers a unique opportunity for a select group of leaders to come together, share their experiences and insights, and learn from one another in the intimate and picturesque setting of Hobart. As senior leaders, you are constantly faced with new challenges and opportunities, and it can be challenging to find the time and space to think deeply about the issues that matter most.

Over the course of three days, attendees will participate in engaging discussions, practical workshops, and networking opportunities with like-minded peers. The retreat’s focus is on empowering senior leaders to develop and implement effective engagement strategies that create positive outcomes for their organisations, stakeholders, and communities. This is a great opportunity to address some of the complex challenges of our time, enriching your leadership of engagement, and influencing engagement outcomes.

At the heart of the retreat is the belief that effective engagement leads to better decision-making and more meaningful outcomes for communities and organisations. By coming together to share insights, experiences, and best practices, senior leaders can drive positive change and create a more participatory and democratic future. Throughout the retreat, we will explore the themes of connection, collaboration, inclusivity and cultural understanding and examine the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for us as leaders.

Yet, this conference extends beyond professional discussions; it is an opportunity to pause, reestablish a connection with oneself, immerse in nature, and draw inspiration from the enchanting surroundings of Hobart. Whether strolling along the waterfront, witnessing the beauty of Mount Wellington, or sharing stories, we believe that you will find this experience to be transformative and rejuvenating.
