What time does the training start and finish?

8:45am for a 9am start and finish at 4:45pm.

Do I need to bring anything to the training?

You don’t need to bring anything along to training. A manual, notepad and pen will be provided in the training room for you. You can of course bring your own notepad if you wish.

When should I register for the training?

Registering at your earliest convenience is advantageous to all concerned.

If you register early:

  • You will guarantee yourself a place in the training.
  • You will assist us in gaining the minimum number of participants required earlier, then we can confirm the training earlier, for all participants.

What if I register and then I need to change/cancel my registration?

If you change or cancel your course more than 14 days before the date of scheduled training you will receive a full refund or alternative booking at no additional charge.

If you would like to cancel your registration more than three working days but less than 14 days before date of scheduled training there will be a cancellation fee ($50AUD + GST or $60NZD + GST). This fee will be waived if an alternative booking is made at the same time of cancellation.

If you need to cancel your registration three working days or less before the training there is a cancellation fee of $100AUD + GST or $120NZD + GST for a one-day course. $150AUD + GST or $180NZD + GST cancellation fee for a two-day course.

If you do not attend the training there is a cancellation fee of $100AUD + GST or $120NZD + GST for a one-day course. $150AUD + GST or $180NZD + GST cancellation fee for a two-day course.

Participants are encouraged to send somebody in their place, at no additional charge, in the instance that they are unable to attend training.

Can I tentatively hold a place?

Unfortunately we do not tentatively hold places for people. You need to register for a course to secure a place.

Can I receive RPL for any previous training?

We do not offer recognition for prior learning (RLP) for our training courses.

Are there any discounts available?

The only discount available for training is the member pricing, which is only available to financial members of IAP2 Australasia.


Having trouble paying for your training, event or membership?

We recommend making payments on our website via Internet Explorer. 

Do I have to do Engagement Essentials first?

Engagement Essentials is the pre-requisite for the Certificate in Engagement. It’s the foundation for Engagement Methods and Engagement Design. You do need to complete Engagement Essentials before moving onto these modules.

Our electives are designed as stand-alone training so you can complete an elective before you do Engagement Essentials.

Is there a pre-requisite for electives?

There are no pre-requisites for electives. Our electives are designed as stand-alone training so you can complete any elective at any time.

How do I get my certificate?

You will receive a digital certificate of attendance for each module. Once you have completed the IAP2 Australasia Certificate in Engagement, you will receive a digital copy of the certificate at the end of the month of completion. If you would like a printed copy of your Certificate in Engagement, please advise the best postal address for this via reply email to your digital Certificate.

What to wear

There is no dress code for our training. We recommend you wear something comfortable as you will be sitting and moving around the training room throughout the day. If in doubt we suggest semi-casual work wear. 

Dietary requirements

If you have any dietary requirements please notify our Training Administration Coordinator a minimum of three working days before the training to ensure your requirements can be provided. 

Can I book accommodation with my training?

Please note IAP2 Australasia is unable to arrange or recommend accommodation.
