IAP2 Certificate Program in Public ParticipationAP2 certificate program in publi\participation
The IAP2 Training Program offers a Certificate in Public Participation throughout Australasia, North America, Europe and Asia.
The training program was developed to meet the needs of IAP2 members. IAP2 trainers worked with practitioners from around the world to develop foundational tools that transcend national and cultural boundaries. Even advanced practitioners will find useful techniques to assist in working with the public and clients to establish effective public participation programs.
All three courses are presented in an experiential learning environment that provides students with the opportunity to explore their own public participation challenges with their instructor and peers. Interactive exercises and practical tips are used to enliven the basic theory and reference materials presented throughout each module and reinforce skills that participants can put to immediate use.
The certificate program consists of three courses:
-
Planning for Effective Public Participation (2 days)
-
Effective Communications for Public Participation (1 day)
-
Techniques for Effective Public Participation (2 days)
Upon completion of each course, students will receive credit from IAP2 recognising successful completion of that course, and upon completion of all three courses, students will be awarded a Certificate in Public Participation from IAP2.
In Australasia, over 160 government organisations have had representatives receive training.
