Wellington Event - February 25th, 2010
Kick off the new year with an IAP2 event focusing on the Benefits of Developing and Sustaining Stakeholder Relationships with Maori stakeholders.
Our guest speaker for the evening is Niketi Toataua.
Niketi is an independent consultant who has been working both with NZTA and Opus in recent times. He has 30 years of practical experience in designing and managing iwi consultation, hapu and whanau connections. Niketi and a client partner will present some key learnings.
All three courses are presented in an experiential learning environment that provides students with the opportunity to explore their own public participation challenges with their instructor and peers. Interactive exercises and practical tips are used to enliven the basic theory and reference materials presented throughout each module and reinforce skills that participants can put to immediate use.
IAP2 is introducing new training in 2010, Emotion, Outrage and Public Participation in Auckland!
Building on IAP2's internationally recognised best practices in public participation, and the work of Dr Peter Sandman, an expert in risk and crisis communication, this new course looks at emotion and outrage and how to identify and address these factors in public participation programs. This is the course for any practitioner dealing with the key issues facing our communities at this time.
