Presidents Letter - IAP2 Proves People Can Make a Difference

President’s Letter
By Desley Renton

This year marks a significant milestone in IAP2’s history. In October, we will celebrate our 10-year anniversary in Australasia, which I am very excited about.

Today, our thriving organisation is proof that we should never doubt that a small group of people can make a significant difference.

We will honour our founding members – those who passionately worked to create a thriving local membership – in a ceremony to coincide with our AGM in Sydney on 7 October. We will celebrate some familiar names, including Vivien Twyford, Max Hardy, Susan Love and Jill Hannaford.

I’m also very proud that we continue to go from strength to strength. It’s hard to believe that from our humble beginnings, IAP2 Australasia is now the largest and fastest growing affiliates of IAP2. With the ongoing commitment of our volunteer network stretching across Australia and New Zealand, our training, our events and our membership continue to grow.

I urge you to come along and share in the stories as we celebrate our past and plan for our future.

You too can be part of this dynamic leading-edge P2 network. We will soon be putting out calls for members to nominate to be on our Australasian Committee. If you’d like to know more or if you’d like to contribute ideas, please contact us.
