2010 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting for the year ended 30 June 2010 was held in Brisbane on 14 September. It was attended by members who were present at the National Forum event, and also by a number of members who attended via webinar.

A number of our committee members stood down this year and retiring President Anne Pattillo who has served as President for the last two years, was thanked for her enormous drive and energy to our program and keeping the Committee firmly focused on ensuring that all the work was directed to providing benefits to our members. Anne initiated the State of the Practice program that is currently being rolled out across Australia and New Zealand and she remains on the Committee working with this and other Practice Development projects, as well as providing interim leadership of the Finance and Audit Sub-Committee. Retiring Committee members Barbara Chappell, Joel Levin, Stephanie Miller and Lauren Hendry Parsons were also thanked for their work on the Committee and Valli Morphett for her work as the SA Regional Co-ordinator.

For the first time, due to a large number of nominations, a secret ballot was held to elect the incoming Committee. The new and enthusiastic group of people who have stepped up into a Committee Leadership role are as follows:

• Vice President - Lucy Cole-Edelstein (NSW)
• Secretary - Roger Tweedy (Wellington, NZ)
• Acting Treasurer - Anne Pattillo (Wellington, NZ)
