Welcome to IAP2: International Association for Public Participation Australasia
IAP2 Australasia is an Association of members who seek to promote and improve the practice of public participation in relation to individuals, governments, institutions, and other entities that effect the public interest in nations throughout the world.

IAP2 carries out its mission by organising and conducting activities to:
- Serve the learning needs of members through events, publications, and communication technology;
- Advocate for public participation throughout the world;
- Promote a results-oriented research agenda and use research to support educational and advocacy goals; and
- Provide technical assistance to improve public participation.
IAP2 was founded in 1990 as the International Association of Public Participation Practitioners (IAP2) to respond to the rising global interest in public participation.![]()
News Flash
Congratulations to Kimbra White and Desley Renton on their successful nomination to the IAP2 International Board.
Desley Renton has been elected as President Elect. This is a three year term - one as President in Training, one year as International President and one year as President mentor. Kimbra has been elected as the Australasian representative and will serve a one year term.
Desley and Kim will join existing board member Lyn Carson, who is also from Australia.
