Community Engagement Networking in SA
29 Feb 2012
NEW VENUE - 32-34 ROSA ST, GOODWOOD
|
I think we are all doing things that are slightly different because we're different human beings; we've had different experiences and we live in different circumstances. The important thing for us to realise is "What is the difference?" - not to say "Mine is better than yours", but "What is the difference?" Hal Saunders, (2006) Director of International Affairs at The Kettering Foundation

In 2010 Emma Lawson designed and led the community engagement process for the update of South Australia’s Strategic Plan which has been awarded the International Best Practice Community Engagement Project Core Values Award by IAP2 International. This was the largest community engagement project in South Australia’s history engaging almost 10,000 people over a 12 month period. During the engagement Emma led the development and implementation of a cutting edge Web 2.0 engagement strategy commended by the Future Gov 2.0 awards for leading use of social media by government in Asia Pacific. She has worked as a political advisor, led parliamentary inquiries and developed policy in a diverse range of areas including health, workers compensation, economic development, education, skills and housing.
