IAP2 Australasian Symposium 2009 -

The International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) is proud to announce the 2009 IAP2 Australasian Symposium will be hosted by Perth, Western Australia.

With the central theme of “Tools for a New Democracy”, the two-day symposium will explore the principles and practices needed to take democracy into the 21st century.

With an interactive program we will explore a range of approaches being used across the globe to increase public participation in decision making and community building.

There will be a call for papers in early 2009 for breakout sessions and smaller interactive sessions. The discussions have already begun to secure some fascinating keynote speakers.
